Through an exploration of raw materials such as leather, wool, and textiles, we will examine how the region, traditional crafts, and knowledge passed down through generations come together to form a heritage that transcends the material nature of objects.
Far from viewing identity as an aesthetic or decorative element, this project invites us to explore the origins of materials, the processes that transform them, and the people who keep that knowledge alive. From this perspective, contemporary design emerges as a tool capable of reinterpreting tradition, fostering innovation, and creating products with a strong sense of belonging.
The talk will address concepts such as sustainability, heritage, material culture, and identity, highlighting the value of artisanal work and the potential of the country’s own resources.

Int. Des. Lucía CasanovaShe is an interior designer with more than 25 years of experience. Her signature style stems from the intersection of the world of textiles, sustainability, and the celebration of cultural heritage. Her approach seeks to revive materials, traditional knowledge, and crafts, reinterpreting them through contemporary design to create spaces with identity, memory, and soul.

Int. Des. Ana Paula DifloresAssistant Architect and Interior Designer. She supplemented her education with specializations in quality, production process management, project management, marketing, and sales, and trained as a project manager at Universidad ORT Uruguay.
has solid professional background and currently works as a freelancer, focusing on the design and implementation of interior design projects for commercial and residential spaces, while coordinating teams and specialized vendors.
