RIESAL Project

Regional network for promoting the internationalization of higher education in Latin America.

Coordinating Institution: University of Guadalajara, Guadalajara, Mexico

Project period: October 2016 – October 2019

The RIESAL Project is co-funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ Program, Key Action KA2 – Capacity Building in Higher Education.

The main objective of the project is to help improve the management capacities of higher education institutions in Latin America and the Caribbean in order to advance their internationalization processes and comprehensively restructure their activities in four areas:

  1. Strengthening institutional capacity.
  2. Nationwide collaboration.
  3. Regional integration and cooperation with other regions, with a focus on cooperative relationships with European institutions.
  4. Identification and implementation of best practices.
