Studying in Uruguay

Application

To apply as an exchange student, your home university must first nominate you for the program.

Nominations must be submitted by email and include the following information:

  • Student's first and last name
  • Degree program currently being pursued at the home university
  • Student email address

Once we receive your nomination and contact information, the Exchange Coordination Office at Universidad ORT Uruguay contact you to send you the registration form.

In addition to the form, you must submit the following documents:

  • Transcript from the home university
  • Proof of Spanish proficiency (this requirement applies only to non-Hispanic students)
  • A photocopy of your passport
  • International health insurance (can be provided after arriving in Montevideo)

Graduate School of the School of Management and Social Sciences

Applications must also include:

For the MBA

  • Submit a GMAT score of at least 500
  • Provide proof of 1 year of work experience
  • Be in the top 35% of your class (as certified by your home institution) or have 3 years of work experience.

For other graduate programs

  • The GMAT will be administered
  • Provide proof of 1 year of work experience
  • Be in the top 50% of their class (as certified by their home university) 

 

Application deadlines

  • First semester (March–July)
    December 15

  • Second semester (August–December)
    May 30

Once your application to the exchange program has been received and accepted, you will receive a letter of acceptance and further information to help you plan your stay at Universidad ORT Uruguay.
