International students must purchase international health insurance that covers outpatient care and hospitalization in Uruguay.

In order for you to begin your studies, your insurance must provide coverage of at least 30,000 euros (as required by the Schengen Agreement) and remain valid for the entire duration of your stay in Uruguay, plus an additional 15 days. 

Medical emergency services Universidad ORT Uruguay available on the Universidad ORT Uruguay campus, but these are limited to emergency care and transport to a hospital.

Pharmacies
