On Friday, September 4, various groups of students participated in "Activá tu Futuro, " the career guidance program offered at theCentro and Pocitos campuses of the Universidad ORT Uruguay.
The event combinedinteractive activities organized by the various degree programs with the format of the Open House events previously held by the university, with the goal of giving participantsa hands-on understanding of each academic option.
More young people, greater participation, and a record number of high schools from outside the capital marked this first edition of "Activá tu Futuro."
The event brought together students from different parts of the country and was notable for the high level of participation from schools in the interior. In addition, the event saw the highest attendance ever recorded for a September session.
Throughout the afternoon, participants explored various academic programs, toured the university campus, and spoke with faculty members and program representatives. The activities included breaks and opportunities to mingle, which allowed them to share their experiences and talk with other young people.
The new format was designed to ensure that career guidance was not limited to simply receiving information about a career. The program allowed students to experience some of the work dynamics involved, gain insight into situations specific to each field, and provide them with more tools to assess their interests and educational options.
