On February 25, as part of his trip to Spain to attend the EXCO’25 conference at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), architect Gastón Boero organized a meeting with graduates from various schools at Universidad ORT Uruguay.
This meeting is part of a series of gatherings between ORT officials and graduates who live or study abroad.
Their purpose is to connect graduates from the same locality with one another, share experiences, and actively engage with the ORT alumni community.
Share experiences
The gathering provided an opportunity for graduates to share their experiences, including their time at the university and the challenges of starting a new life abroad.
During the meeting, it was noted that the value of the tools ORT provides for tackling new challenges helped facilitate the transition to Spain.
The graduates also spoke about the challenge of moving to another country and adapting to a new culture.
The graduates noted that these gatherings are a great way to reconnect with the country and meet new people.

During the meeting, each graduate had the opportunity to share their professional and academic background, which fostered a deeper and more personal exchange among the participants.
The graduates said they really enjoyed sharing experiences and meeting fellow countrymen. They also praised this initiative by Universidad ORT Uruguay.
Among those in attendance were María Forteza, who holds a bachelor’s degree in Management and Administration; Juan Gabriel Secondo, an architecture graduate; Emiliana Artagaveytia, a sound design technician; Raúl Carnelli, who holds a bachelor’s degree in International Studies; Juan Lucas Piastri, a programmer analyst; and Martina Cabrera and Francisco Puente, both architecture graduates.
This gathering gave ORT graduates the opportunity to reconnect, opening the door to new friendships and professional relationships that will be of great help to them in the countries where they live.
