Aimed at students in their 2nd or 3rd year of upper secondary school at public and private institutions in Uruguay, as well as those enrolled in the technical high school program at the Universidad del Trabajo del Uruguay (UTU), the Business Challenge encourages students to work in teams to analyze a business scenario and develop a solution based on critical thinking, innovation, and decision-making.
Participants must submit a proposal consisting of a video of up to two minutes and a written report, which will be evaluated by a panel of judges based on criteria of innovation, feasibility, and communication skills. The four best proposals will advance to the final round, where they will present their work in person.
The Business Challenge aims to expose students to situations similar to those faced by professionals in the business world, fostering the development of analytical skills, creativity, teamwork, and communication.
Scholarships for Undergraduate Degrees
The winning team will receive an 80% scholarship to pursue any of the college's degree programs. In addition, the team that receives an honorable mention will be awarded a 50% scholarship.
As an additional recognition, the teacher accompanying the winning team will receive a 50% scholarship to pursue a certificate program of their choice at the Institute of Education.
How to Participate
The competition will take place in three stages. The first stage will consist of an introductory session inHyFlex® format, during which the business case and the working methodology will be presented. Afterward, the teams will have two weeks to develop and submit their proposals. Finally, the four selected teams will present their projects to a panel of judges, which will select the winning team and award a special mention.
Registration will remain open until July 29, 2026. The introductory session will be held that same day at 4:00 p.m. and is a requirement for continuing in the competition.
