Telecommunications expert to appear on the College of Engineering's broadcast

On December 20, the School of Engineering hosted a webinar led by Dr. Bernard Widrow, an American telecommunications expert.

The speaker addressed the topics "Adaptive Signal Processing: Linear and Nonlinear," "Adaptive Control Systems," and "Cognitive Memory."

The event was organized by:

  • Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE);
  • Argentine Chapter of the Computational Intelligence Society;
  • Catholic University of Argentina;
  • National Technological University of Argentina;
  • Universidad ORT Uruguay.

Dr. Widrow is a professor of electrical engineering at Stanford University.

He also developed the Least Mean Square (LMS) algorithm, which has applications of considerable economic importance.
