The Sketch is an architecture magazine that presents, in monographic form, the work of national and international architectural firms. Published in Spanish and English, it features project documentation, interviews, and essays.
With the launch of its Digital Library, users with institutional credentials can access the catalog online through the Library System. In addition to adding each new issue, the catalog is gradually incorporating previous editions.
How to Access the El Croquis Digital Library
Enrollment is done through the "Databases" section of the Library System:
- Select the option “Access Subscribed Databases”.
- Log in using your student or staff ID number and the same password you use to access Aulas Gestión.
- Once you're on the subscription page, click on the El Croquis Digitallogo.
How to Find Projects, Articles, and Interviews
The Digital Library search engine retrieves terms only from journal titles. For this reason, if you do not know the issue number that contains a specific work or text, we recommend first conducting a search on the website of El Croquis.
The section “Projects in PDF by Type” allows you to explore projects by type or by the corresponding architecture firm. To find articles, the section “Articles and Interviews” allows you to search by author and by firm, as well as distinguish between these two types of content.
Once you have identified the issue number, you need to return to the Digital Library, locate it in the catalog, and select the option “View digital version”.
These sections of the El Croquis are designed to help you find the content you are looking for. Access to the journals included in the institutional subscription must be obtained through the Universidad ORT Uruguay Library System.
