The ReachingU Award recognizes Uruguayan teachers who are making a lasting impact on education in the country.
The initiative—which is the local version of the Varkey Foundation’s Global Teacher Prize— will award the winning teacher $5,000 to invest in their project or in initiatives related to their professional development.
Applications and nominations are being accepted through Sunday, May 24, via theaward’s website.
For this edition of the ReachingU Award for Uruguayan Educators, Dr. Denise Vaillant, dean of the Institute of Education at Universidad ORT Uruguay, will once again serve as a member of the jury.
