The event was held at the campus of the National University of the East (UNE) in Paraguay.
The Association of Universities and Technological Institutes of Mercosur (Autimer) was established in 1999 with the aim of serving as a forum for discussion on the foundations of engineering education and the mutual recognition of engineering degrees within the Mercosur region, as well as to promote exchange and cooperation among member universities.
