In 1993, he began pursuing a bachelor’s degree in International Studies at ORT University. In 1998, she earned a Diploma in International Business and Integration from ORT. In 1999, she completed a joint Master’s degree in International Relations at the Complutense University of Madrid and the Diplomatic School of Madrid. I've always loved everything related to the international arena, business, geography, traveling, and getting to know different places, lifestyles, and customs.
She learned about the program, liked what she heard, and in 1994 began pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies.
The program met her expectations. “I had excellent professors and the course content was of high quality. In addition, the university has a well-stocked library and excellent facilities.”
In 1997, she began working as the Operations and Marketing Manager at the Zona Franca Showroom (now Zonamerica). “Later, I took on the coordination of marketing and public relations matters under the Marketing and Sales Department.”
In 1999, she applied for a Spanish government scholarship to pursue a joint master’s degree in International Relations at the Diplomatic School of Madrid and the Complutense University of Madrid. “In September 1999, I moved to Spain and, for a year, took classes alongside professionals and diplomats from various countries (there were 39 different nationalities in the class).”
From July 2000 to June 2003, she served as Director of Special Editions at the Insert Media news agency in Madrid, where she was responsible for producing special reports on socioeconomic and political issues for international media outlets. She coordinated and managed projects in various countries, spending an average of three months in each: Spain, Croatia, El Salvador, Hungary, Singapore, Ukraine, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, Guatemala, and Panama.
This phase has been very significant in my professional development; it brought together various aspects of international relations, as I lived in several countries and had the opportunity to learn firsthand from the people involved about the country, the lifestyle of its people, their way of doing business, and their role in the international context.
In 2005, she worked as Deputy to the President at Corporación América (Buenos Aires), a concessionaire active in the infrastructure and airport sectors, among others. In 2006, she worked as a freelance consultant in Madrid (conducting market research, participating in and supporting negotiations, and identifying and contacting potential clients).
She currently lives in Panama and works for the Latin American Investment Society, “a business group founded by a visionary Argentine entrepreneur that has investments in Panama in areas related to the maritime industry.”
Amanda says she has very fond memories of her time as a student. “At ORT, everything always ran like clockwork,” she recalled.
