ORT signed a cooperation agreement with IBM Uruguay

November 30, 2003
On November 21, 2003, the School of Engineering signed a technological cooperation agreement with IBM Uruguay, based on the exchange of scientific and technological information.

Under this agreement, IBM authorizes Universidad ORT Uruguay to use software licensed by IBM, as provided for in the IBM Scholars Programme.

As a result, ORT teachers and students will have access to IBM’s portfolio of software and middleware for educational purposes.

Once this agreement is in effect, ORT will begin offering the Professional Programme for undergraduate students.

The agreement was signed by the general manager of IBM Uruguay, Alberto Young, and the dean of the School of Engineering, Mario Fernández.
