The SNI, which operates under the National Agency for Research and Innovation (ANII), promotes the classification and financial support of researchers, the generation of knowledge across all fields, and the strengthening and expansion of the national scientific community.
Faculty of Engineering
24 faculty members and researchers from the School of Engineering are affiliated with the SNI.
Renovations
Álvaro Tasistro was reappointed at Level I for two years in the Natural and Exact Sciences.
Efraín Buksman was also reappointed at Level I for three years in the same field.
Matías Carrasco retains his Level I appointment for three years in Natural and Exact Sciences.
Nora Szasz renewed her Level II status for two years in the Engineering and Technology area.
André Fonseca was renewed at Level I for two years in Engineering and Technology.
Carlos López renewed his Level I membership for three years.

Diego Goldsztajn was admitted to the Introductory Level (Engineering and Technology) for three years.
Franz Mayr was also admitted to the Introductory Level (Natural and Exact Sciences) for three years.
Faculty of Management and Social Sciences
The SNI is composed of 14 faculty members and researchers from the School of Management and Social Sciences.
- Diego Telias (Social Sciences, Political Science) andMarcos Segantini (Social Sciences, Other Social Sciences) have renewed their contracts at the entry-level for three years.
- Nicolás Albertoni (Social Sciences Department, Political Science Section) was also reappointed to a Level I position for a three-year term; he recently joined ORT as a professor of International Relations.
- In addition, Nicolás Gambetta ( Social Sciences Department, Economics and Business Division)—the faculty’s associate dean for academic affairs—was promoted to Level II researcher for a four-year term.
