It was a multidisciplinary forum designed to analyze the challenges facing the Euro-Atlantic region in an international context marked by geopolitical tensions and strategic realignments.
The event featured prominent national and international experts and was moderated by Dr. Filipe Luis Vasconcelos, a visiting professor at the university and Ecuador’s honorary consul in Lisbon.
Vasconcelos noted that Europe today is a completely different continent from what it used to be. “Three years ago, it changed profoundly because war returned to the region.”
Over the course of the two-day event, the following topics were discussed:
- Regional Challenges in the New Euro-Atlantic Landscape, featuring presentations by Raquel Freire—professor at the University of Coimbra (Portugal)—and Dr. Kaloyan Stanev—professor at Universidad ORT Uruguay.
