Graduates and advanced students were honored at the National Video Game Competition

As part of the LEVEL UY Gamedev Summit, the awards ceremony for the National Video Game Competition was held on December 7, 2017, at the Mario Benedetti Auditorium at Antel. In the mobile category, Juan Pais, a graduate of the Bachelor’s program in Animation and Video Games, and Maximiliano Mañay won first prize for their video game Super Scaloni.

In the PC/Web/Consoles category, the winners were Joaquín Guelfi, a graduate of the Bachelor’s Program in Animation and Video Games; Maximiliano Kossyrczyk, an upper-level student in the Bachelor’s Program in Animation and Video Games; and Horacio Torrendell, an upper-level student in the Systems Engineering Program, for their video game *Alchemist Defender VR*.

The National Video Game Competition is an initiative designed to promote the Uruguayan video game industry. It is organized by Ingenio, Antel, Universidad ORT Uruguay the Uruguayan Chamber of Video Game Developers (CAVI).
