Graduates welcome the director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Tel Aviv

On Monday, August 11, a meeting was held with graduates of Universidad ORT Uruguay Tel Aviv, Israel, as part of the visit by Enrique Topolansky, director of the CIE.

Reunion and Reflection in Tel Aviv

The event took place on the rooftop of the Bazar Hotel in Tel Aviv and brought together alumni with the aim of strengthening ties among professionals trained at Universidad ORT Uruguay creating a space for enriching exchange, both professionally and personally.

Thanks to the relaxed and friendly atmosphere that developed among the participants, we were able to share stories, motivations, challenges, and dreams, all against the backdrop of the situation Israel is currently facing.

The university's initiative to maintain ties with its overseas community and to foster spaces for connection and a sense of belonging was highly valued and well received by everyone.

Career Paths in International Contexts

The graduates shared their professional experiences in Israel, highlighting the job opportunities they have found in a dynamic and highly competitive market.

Currently, many of them work in fields such as information technology, biotechnology, architecture, renewable energy, and digital marketing.

Among the participants was Eden Noachas, who is currently pursuing a graduate degree and working as a researcher at Tel Aviv University (TAU).

Also in attendance were Adrián Lapchik, who serves as KYC Representative at Payoneer, as well as Gianni Conti, currently a Software Engineer at Naboo Research Ltd., and Daniel Kuropatwa, an electronics engineer at ARRIVAL.

In the field of architecture, architects Sofía Waizman and Óscar Sapolinski participated, highlighting the sustained growth of the real estate sector in Israel.

Despite the current situation, they agreed that this field continues to offer interesting opportunities.

Architect Waizman currently works at one of the country’s most renowned and prestigious design firms, Gordon Architects and Urban Planners Ltd, as does Architect Sapolinski, who works at a leading firm specializing in architectural and interior design, Levy-Lustig Architects.

Also participating in the event were Magalí Pick, Performance Campaign Manager at DealHub.io; Florencia Vital, a sustainability consultant at Green Target, an Israeli firm specializing in EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety); and Martín Rosenzweig, Senior Analytics Engineer at Lusha

All of them expressed their satisfaction with the progress they have made in their careers and agreed that the training they received at ORT was valuable, recognizing it as a cornerstone of their current performance.

These testimonials show how the strong academic and professional training provided by the university enabled them to successfully tackle the challenges of a demanding global environment.

The Value of ORT Training Abroad

The graduates agreed that the university provided them with a solid academic foundation, combining theory and practice, and prepared them to work in international settings. 

They particularly emphasized the acquisition of transferable skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, and the ability to adapt to new methodologies and technologies—elements they consider key to their integration into the Israeli job market.

They emphasized that, beyond technical knowledge, what they learned at ORT enabled them to develop an entrepreneurial, proactive, and flexible mindset—qualities that are highly valued in the Israeli job market.

A meaningful reunion

In addition to the professional exchange, the graduates appreciated the opportunity to reconnect with the institution and with fellow countrymen facing similar circumstances.

As many have noted, in contexts as complex as the current one, initiatives like this strengthen the sense of belonging and connection to the institution.

This experience underscores the transformative impact ORT has on its graduates' career paths and its key role as a bridge to a promising professional future.

This event in Tel Aviv is one of many initiatives that Universidad ORT Uruguay to maintain an active connection with its graduates around the world.

Through these initiatives, the university reaffirms its commitment to providing professional support and strengthening a global network of alumni who share values, experiences, and a desire to continue making an impact in their respective fields and communities, while also promoting lifelong learning.
