Participants included: the Catholic University of Uruguay, the University of the Republic, the Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos (Brazil), and the Universidad ORT Uruguay
The ORT team consisted of Jimena Cabrera, Sofía Chávez, Noelia Giannotti, Mariel Perez Martino, Paula Mosera, Lucia Nemmer, Iara Pintos, Romina Przepiorka, Florencia Sica, Virginia Suárez, and María Inés Terragn, under the coaching guidance of Mariana Fleitas.
The tournament final took place on July 15, 2017 , at the Naval Sports Complex.
