The School of Communication and the School of Design are moving toward the future with the opening of an innovative space that promises to revolutionize the way students create, produce, and experiment.
In 2025, the Downtown Campus will expand with a new Creative Hub, located at the corner of Uruguay Avenue and General Rondeau Avenue, where technology and creativity come together to enhance learning and professional development in the creative industries.
This 3,150-square-meter space will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology and designed to promote audiovisual, audio, digital, artistic, fashion, and product creation.
In addition, it will feature state-of-the-art classrooms that provide a modern and inspiring learning environment, fostering creativity and experimentation within a dynamic academic setting.
Among its main areas of focus, related to communication studies, the following stand out:
- Photography, television, and streaming studio: equipped with state-of-the-art lighting, broadcasting, and live production equipment for producing high-quality programmes, interviews, and content.
- Video podcast studio: equipped with directional microphones, telescopic cameras, and state-of-the-art audiovisual recording technology.
- 360° Immersive Room: an immersive experience featuring state-of-the-art projectors that allow you to view content in a fully immersive environment.
- Sound studio and lab: soundproof recording and mixing rooms equipped with state-of-the-art technology for high-quality sound capture and post-production.

The Hub will also feature various workshops and labs equipped to support all design programs:
- Art workshops: spaces designed for creative exploration and experimentation with various artistic techniques, fostering visual expression and innovation across different formats.
- Graphic printing and textile printing workshops: spaces dedicated to experimentation in traditional and digital printing, screen printing, and textile printing techniques, enabling the production of graphic pieces with a high level of detail.
- Fashion Design Lab: a space equipped with workshop classrooms, textile machinery, and specialized resources for the design, production, and experimentation with clothing, footwear, and accessories. It features looms, knitting machines, and equipment for dyeing, printing, and garment production, facilitating and fostering creativity and innovation in fashion.
- Industrial Design Lab: Equipped with state-of-the-art technology for design, material processing, and the manufacture of functional products, it enables the exploration of innovative combinations and the development of prototypes using specialized tools such as lathes, routers, and welders.
- It includes the 3D Prototyping Lab, which utilizes computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM and CNC) technologies, enabling the production of high-precision parts through automated processes and state-of-the-art 3D printers for the development of functional models and prototypes.
- Stop-motion studio: a facility specializing in frame-by-frame animation, equipped with precision tools for creating meticulous visual productions.

- Game room: a space for recreation and creativity where students can relax, collaborate on projects, and share ideas in a fun and dynamic environment.
- Multipurpose Exhibition Hall: a flexible space for student project exhibitions, art shows, high-impact academic events, as well as exhibitions by national and international artists and creators.
Designed to promote students' well-being and inspire them, the Hub will also feature a modern cafeteria and green spaces, fostering a relaxed atmosphere where ideas can be exchanged and creativity can flourish.
