Identity and Globalization: Lecture at Universidad ORT Uruguay

On October 20, 2004, the lecture "Identity and Globalization: Local Design in a Globalized World" was held in the auditorium of the School of Communication, presented by Susana Saulquin.

The speaker, Ms. Saulquin, holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology with a specialization in fashion. She is also a professor and the author of several books, including *Fashion in Argentina*, *Fashion, Afterward*, and *Jeans: The Enduring Myth*, which she edited.

During the conference, Ms. Saulquin reflected on the importance of clothing in the construction of identity, which varies across different eras depending on the power dynamics that society chooses or needs to emphasize.
