On the morning of January 27, the Permanent Commission of Parliament will hold a special session to honor the victims of the Holocaust, as part of the International Day of Commemoration established by the United Nations.

On Tuesday, the 27th, at 6:00 p.m., the Secretary of State, Mario Lubetkin, will deliver an official address on behalf of the Executive Branch. The address will be broadcast on national radio and television.

On November 1, 2005, the United Nations General Assembly designated January 27 as the annual International Day of Commemoration in memory of the victims of the Holocaust. This date marks the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau in 1945 by Soviet troops, the 81st anniversary of which will be observed in 2026.
