Átide: Final Fashion Design and Event Production Show

July 31, 2017
On July 27, 2017, the final fashion show, featuring 16 students from the Fashion Design and Event Production track of the Bachelor of Fashion Design program, took place in the basement of Montevideo’s Agricultural Market. For this edition, they presented Átide, a fashion show that seeks, through original designs, to highlight Uruguayan architecture in a venue that brings its history to life.

In this tenth edition of the event, the students received artistic guidance from two guest professors who are leading figures in design and specialized communication in the field of fashion, respectively: Lucius Vilar, B.A., creative director of the company Luv Consultoría in Brazil, and Dr. Carol García, professor of Fashion Communication at Anhembi Morumbi University in Brazil.

After a long and in-depth research process on local architecture, the students worked on designs that explore the latest technologies for textile applications, a journey that led them to stage this fashion show, which aims to meet the high expectations of the fashion industry.
