Among the various activities offered, 34 people competed in the second edition of the school's chess championship.

The event took place on June 9 and brought together members of the university community in a setting designed to foster integration and social interaction outside the classroom. In addition to the chess tournament, the day included other games and recreational activities.

The tournament was officiated by Federico Roselli, who presented awards to the standout participants in the competition:

  • First prize: Camilo Caminada, a student in the Software Analyst and Programmer program.
  • Second prize: Juan Appoloni, a systems engineering student.
  • Apprentice Award: Ignacio Amorín, a systems engineering student.
  • Prize Winner: Juan Manuel Rial, a systems engineering student.

The event was a continuation of an initiative that began in 2024 with the college’s first chess tournament. Through initiatives like this, the Student Council aims to create opportunities for interaction among students, faculty, and staff, promoting participation and strengthening the university community.

Chess, known for fostering skills such as planning, concentration, and strategic thinking, once again took center stage at an event that combined competition, learning, and entertainment.
