Universidad ORT Uruguay ’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) program is the only MBA in the country included in the 2027 edition of the QS Global MBA Rankings, one of the leading international rankings for graduate business education. In Latin America, it ranks 11th.
The 2027 edition evaluates more than 400 MBA programmes from different regions of the world, with MIT Sloan, Harvard Business School, Stanford Graduate School of Business, and Wharton ranking among the top schools. ORT’s MBA program is among the three new Latin American programmes that entered the ranking this year.
The ranking, compiled by the British consulting firm Quacquarelli Symonds—which produces various global and regional rankings—was based on the following criteria:
- Employability (40%)
- Return on Investment (20%)
- Entrepreneurship and alumni achievements (15%)
- Thought Leadership (15%)
- Diversity (10%)
Inclusion in this international ranking provides an external benchmark for the MBA program’s academic offerings and, in particular, for aspects related to professional development and the impact of its graduates.

In this regard, QS’s regional director for Latin America and the Caribbean, Nicolás Elton, noted on his LinkedIn profile that twenty Latin American programmes s made it into this year’s Global MBA ranking.
“The 2027 world map shows some interesting shifts (…) The data point that interests me most is in the region. We have three new entrants: UDD from Chile, ORT from Uruguay, and Siglo21 from Argentina,” he wrote.
In closing, he noted: “Twenty programmes, five in the top 200, and only one on a steady rise.”
