The event was designed as a tech-themed escape room, featuring challenges in robotics, programming, biotechnology, and bioinformatics, as shared by the university on its social media platforms. The students, organized into teams, had to solve two main challenges: one focused on robotics and Arduino, and the other on biotechnology and bioinformatics.
As they progressed, they gathered clues that they then had to piece together to decipher a final phrase. The activity called upon their logical thinking, creativity, and teamwork skills in a fun and challenging setting.
Technology from various disciplines
The event was jointly organized by the academic coordinators of the university’s degree programs, bringing together fields such as Electronics, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Biotechnology, and Bioinformatics, and reflecting the faculty’s interdisciplinary approach.

Bringing technology closer through experience
International Girls in ICT Day is a global initiative aimed at promoting women’s participation in the tech sector and reducing the gender gap in these fields. In this context, the faculty launched a program focused on hands-on experience, giving students their first concrete exposure to various areas of engineering.
These types of activities aim to inspire early career interests by demonstrating that technology can be explored in creative, collaborative, and accessible ways, and they reaffirm the faculty’s commitment to training new generations in key areas of technological development.
