As part of an academic cooperation agreement between Universidad ORT Uruguay the Central Governing Board (CODICEN) of the National Public Education Administration (ANEP), a new special session of the Master’s Program in Trainer Development began in December 2024.

The Master's Program in Trainer Development is designed for those who wish to design, plan, guide, evaluate, and lead high-quality training programs.

“We have high hopes for what we can build together during this training program, in terms of professional development and the impact this graduate program can have on the national level, said Dr. Andrea Tejera Techera, academic coordinator of the Master’s Program in Trainer Development, during the kickoff event.

Dr. Denise Vaillant, dean of the Institute of Education, emphasized that supporting students throughout their educational journey is “a constant learning process.” At the same time, she highlighted the role of the educator—the central focus of her research. “Educators are key figures, and in recent years, education policies have recognized their importance and promoted initiatives to professionalize their work,” she added.

Finally, Victor Pizzichillo, M.A., president of the Council for Education Training, emphasized the significance of school staff pursuing master’s degrees. “It is a significant investment that enables them to access better opportunities for professional development, with the aim of improving teaching and learning processes in every school and for every student,” he concluded.
