
Throughout the morning, participants toured learning spaces, attended workshops and presentations, and spoke with faculty, alumni, students, and university representatives. This allowed them to gain insight into the degree programs not only through formal information about the curricula, but also through the firsthand experiences of those who are part of campus life.
Making informed choices
The event provided an opportunity to explore interests, compare options, and gain a better understanding of what it means to pursue education in different fields of study.
The activities covered fields related to architecture, design, communication, business, technology, engineering, economics, finance, marketing, international studies, and entrepreneurship, among others. Each presentation focused on demonstrating what students learn, how classes are conducted, and the professional profiles that emerge from each academic program.

In addition, these discussion forums provided an opportunity to address common questions about choosing a career, job opportunities, learning formats, and the current challenges facing each professional field.
Campus experience
The Open House also included tours of the Centro and Pocitos campuses, providing an opportunity to see classrooms, laboratories, workshops, and other spaces where ORT’s academic activities take place.

That in-person aspect proved particularly significant: for many participants, the event served as an introduction to university life, the relationship with faculty, and the kinds of experiences that are part of their education.
In addition, guidance was provided on enrollment, scholarships, and exchange programs, with the aim of offering practical information to those considering starting a college degree.
With a large turnout, this year’s event reaffirmed the Open House’s role as one of the main opportunities for Universidad ORT Uruguay connect Universidad ORT Uruguay prospective students. In this regard, the event once again established itself as a platform for guiding decision-making, helping students explore their career paths, and offering a glimpse into university life from the inside.
