The ORT alumni reunion took place during Mag. Fabián Barros's participation in the Artificial Intelligence Action Summit in France.
This is an international summit where heads of state, organizational leaders, and academic representatives gather to discuss advances in artificial intelligence, as well as the power of this technology.
On another note, and focusing on the alumni gathering, Fabián Barros, M.A., commented that: "Everyone really appreciated the idea of getting to know one another and staying in touch, both with each other and with ORT."
He also added that "the graduates highlighted the education they received at the university, which gave them a broad perspective and enabled them to pursue a variety of careers, not necessarily limited to their specific field of study."
Professional development and international connections
At this gathering, the graduates reminisced about their time at ORT and discussed their individual career paths.
While some expressed an interest in returning to Uruguay in the future, they all agreed that their professional development abroad has been enriching and positive.
Currently, graduates hold positions at various prominent organizations and institutions, such as the Uruguayan Embassy in Paris, Amazon, and Globant, among others.

Similarly, the graduates spoke about the challenges of adapting to a new culture and how the values they learned at ORT helped them integrate more successfully.
"They are satisfied with their current progress in Paris; some are eager to return, but all are happy with their international professional experience," said the academic coordinator.
During the meeting, each participant gave an overview of their academic and professional background, highlighting how their education at ORT helped them establish themselves in France.
The exchange of experiences enriched the meeting and strengthened the bonds among ORT graduates.
