This edition of the Completed Works Competition (COR 2025) seeks to reflect the diversity and richness of the country’s architectural and urban planning output, by highlighting and showcasing projects of various scales, programs, and locations throughout the country.
In turn, it promotes the dissemination of contemporary Uruguayan architecture and and encourages critical reflection within the discipline.
Requirements for applying to COR 2025
Applications are open to architects, whether domestic or foreign, with projects completed in Uruguay and completed between January 1, 2020, and the closing date of the call for entries.
Works submitted in previous editions or completed outside the specified period will not be accepted. In addition, the following incompatibilities for members of the jury and the advisory team.
Diversity, a broad perspective, and critical analysis
Entries will be judged according to the award categories:
- Minimalist Architecture
- Single-family home
- Multi-family housing
- Facilities and infrastructure
- Renovation of an existing building
- Interventions in public spaces and landscapes
The jury may establish new categories if it deems it appropriate.
