Scratch Day 2010

The School of Engineering and the Institute of Education organized Scratch Day 2010, which consisted of a workshop for teachers held on Friday, May 21, at ORT Centro.

Scratch is a programming language that lets you create animations and games, and helps you get familiar with the basics of programming.

Scratch Day is an event created by the Scratch team at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with the aim of promoting the tool and sharing projects and experiences.

This event took place simultaneously in several countries. Universidad ORT Uruguay invited by MIT to organize this event in Uruguay.

The workshop was led by Dr. Inés Kereki, Professor of Programming in the School of Engineering; Marcelo Rubino, M.Eng., Associate Professor of Programming; Prof. Alejandro Adorian, a faculty member in the Department of Programming; and Prof. Natalia Giordano, a Programming instructor.
