The event, which was supported by the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) Uruguay and Antel, drew more than 500 attendees to the venue and hundreds more who watched it live on Vera TV, Canal M, and social media.
Social Media Day Uruguay was an event where prominent speakers discussed the scope and potential of the digital revolution in the realm of social media.
The speakers presented in four sessions:
- Communication, journalism, current events, and public opinion.
- Television, entertainment, trends, and data.
- Education, tech politics, hacktivism, and collective solidarity.
- Entrepreneurs: soccer, fashion design, e-commerce, gaming, and mobile trends.
The opening ceremony was led by Eduardo Hipogrosso, dean of the School of Communication and Design, and the closing ceremony featured entrepreneurs from the companies Ironhide, Paganza, and Woow.
There were 15 lectures and exhibitions, featuring international faculty members and professionals from the fields of design and communication.
