Series of Professional and Academic Lectures at Universidad ORT Uruguay

The Academic Coordination Office for the Public Accounting program at Universidad ORT Uruguay organized a series of lectures delivered by various ORT faculty members.

The lecture series will follow the schedule below:

  • Wednesday, September 24, 2003: "Money Laundering: Prevention Techniques," presented by Claudio Muzi, CPA, adjunct professor of auditing at Universidad ORT Uruguay manager at KPMG;
  • Wednesday, October 1, 2003: "Managing Profitability," presented by Roberto de Luca and Laura López. Mr. de Luca is a graduate-level instructor. Ms. Laura López is an adjunct professor of Management Accounting;
  • Wednesday, October 8, 2003: "The Disclosure of Financial Information via the Internet: Challenges and Opportunities for the Profession," presented by Bruno Gili, CPA, professor of Budgeting and Financial Planning;
  • Wednesday, October 15, 2003: "Accounting Information in Contexts of Monetary Instability," presented by Certified Public Accountants Álvaro Prato and Gonzalo Lucas. Certified Public Accountant Álvaro Prato is a full professor of Advanced Accounting. Certified Public Accountant Gonzalo Lucas is an adjunct professor of Advanced Accounting.

All the talks will take place in Room 225 of the School of Management and Social Sciences, and admission is free.
