The third edition of Startup Weekend Montevideo took place on September 20, 21, and 22, 2013. The winner of the competition was the VitalTec project.
The winning team consisted of Gonzalo Acosta, Juan Manuel Aguirre, Matias Curbelo, Víctor Macadar, Karina Pita, David Rivero, Santiago Rodríguez, Andrés Romero, Roberto Valdomir, and Diego Ventura.
The project consists of a solution that "provides the peace of mind that comes from knowing your loved ones are safe and the reassurance of being alerted if they experience a health emergency, while also allowing you to check their vital signs in real time," as its creators explained.
