The Landscape Design Technician program is celebrating its 5th anniversary and is hosting a special event

Faculty members, graduates, and students will share work they have produced at various stages of their education and professional practice as landscape architects, focusing on design processes, design decisions, and the lessons learned through experience.
The Landscape Design Technician program is celebrating its 5th anniversary and invites you to join in the celebration at a special event

This is an open event for discussion and the presentation of projects by Uruguayan landscape architects, to be held on Tuesday, February 24, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., in the Hemiciclo at the Pocitos Campus, with an online broadcast via Zoom.

A space for exchange and reflection

As part of the celebration marking the five-year anniversary of the Landscape Technician program, the Faculty of Architecture at Universidad ORT Uruguay you to participate in the event Landscape Project Roundtable.

The event provides a space where faculty, alumni, and students can share work they have done at different stages of their education and professional practice.

The main objective is to focus on design processes, design decisions, and the knowledge gained from the academic and professional experience of the professionals trained at the institution.

Landscape Design Competition

The presentations, which are expected to last 15 to 30 minutes, are designed to be lively and accessible.

The event aims to foster dialogue, the exchange of ideas, and encounters between different perspectives within the field of landscape architecture.

Thus, the event is designed as an opportunity to highlight successful landscape projects, strengthen the academic community, and celebrate the graduates’ journey, reaffirming the value of professional practice and the collective construction of knowledge.

Programme Exhibitors for the Landscape Projects Roundtable

The event has by Architect and Psychologist Paula Rial, the program’s academic coordinator. The schedule of presentations is structured as follows:

  • 9:30 a.m. - Introduction: by Prof. Cecilia Sgarbi, faculty member of the program, and Architect Paula Rial, Ph.D.

  • 10:00 a.m. - Class of 2021: presentation by Serena Paparcone, Engineer and Psychologist.

  • 10:30 a.m. - Class of 2021 (LIVAUT): project presented by Fr. María Gomensoro, Fr. Joaquín González, and Fr. Valentina Valin.

  • 11:00 a.m. - Class of 2022 (ECOESPACIOS): presentation by Architect and Psychologist María Graciela Antognazza and Psychologist Jacqueline Rodríguez.

  • 11:30 a.m. - Class of 2024: led by Fr. Tania Apud, Fr. Melissa Yáñez, and Fr. Cecilia Fornero.

  • 12:00 p.m. - Class of 2024: presentation by graduates Psj. Florencia Ferrari and Psj. Micaela Pita.

  • 12:30 p.m. - End End of the day.

Admission is free, but prior registration is required via the official event form.
