This achievement significantly expands opportunities for research teams at Universidad ORT Uruguay tocollaborate on international projects that use sensitive data, such as that provided by Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union (EU).
In addition, it enables compliance with one of the key requirements for joining research consortia under programs such as Horizon Europe, the EU’s flagship initiative to promote research and innovation for the 2021–2027 period.
The process to obtain this recognition was led by Sara Goldberg, Coordinator of Institutional Relations and Projects, and Dr. María Azpiroz from the Office of International Relations, with the support of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Pablo Landoni, who was in direct contact with Eurostat.
This development reinforces ORT's institutional commitment to high-quality scientific research and its integration into the European research ecosystem.
