Career History
Paulós has more than four decades at Universidad ORT Uruguay.
He joined the faculty in 1981 as an instructor of programming languages and operating systems, during an early stage of the development of computer science education in Uruguay.
Throughout his career at the institution, he took on responsibilities related to educational administration, academic coordination, and the enhancement of technology training programs.
He served as academic secretary of the School of Technology from 1999 to 2018. Since September 2018, he has served as academic secretary of the School of Engineering.
Digital Education
Paulós also participated in educational outreach projects in the interior of the country and in international initiatives related to digital education.
Among them is " A Programar / Code Yourself," an open online course on programming developed by Universidad ORT Uruguay with the University of Edinburgh, which has attracted more than 750,000 registrations from people in 195 countries.

Paulós' appointment as director of Institutional Affairs marks a new phase in a career that combines teaching, academic administration, educational innovation, and institutional development.
Through this role, Universidad ORT Uruguay to strengthen the coordination of strategic initiatives and consolidate monitoring mechanisms for the institution’s priority projects.
