In this regard, Esteban Zunino, dean of the School of Communication, emphasized the importance of the bonds between students as a fundamental part of university life: “University is about coming here, studying, and learning, but above all, it’s about being part of a community.”
He also emphasized the importance of the bonds that begin to form at this stage: “Here, they’ll meet classmates and make friends—friends they’ll surely continue to see when they’re our age.”
A choice with professional implications
During the welcome address, emphasis was also placed on the importance of choosing a career in the field of communication, given that its role is becoming increasingly central in various areas.
In this vein, it was emphasized that “if there is one thing that sets us apart from other species, it is our ability to communicate, ”and that this ability, now more than ever, is undergoing constant professionalization.
The discussion also touched on the wide range of opportunities offered by the field, from content creation to data analysis and the development of strategies for brands and organizations.
