On Monday, April 21, the ORT Rambla building—located on Cebollatí Street and opened in 2022—hosted a welcome ceremony for the new class of 2025 at the School of Graduate and Continuing Education in Communication and Design.
The event brought together the new students, who shared their first academic experiences before classes officially began.
The event was designed not only to welcome the new members but also to foster a sense of community and shared purpose from the very beginning.
Inspirational messages: commitment, purpose, and teamwork
During the event, university officials offered words of welcome and reflection.
Sabrina Bianchi, academic secretary of the School of Graduate and Continuing Education in Communication and Design, highlighted the institution’s growth:
"We currently have a growing, thriving school with more than 100 students enrolled right now, and we have more than 70 graduates," he emphasized.

Bianchi also invited those present to take an active role in their own education, encouraging them to engage in personal and collective reflection:
"I invite you to think about your purpose—what you’re here to achieve—and we’ll work together to make it happen."
For her part, designer Andrea Melle, the School’s associate academic coordinator, emphasized the importance of collaborative work:
Working collaboratively is a fantastic and incredibly fun challenge—that's where the magic really happens.
He added, "We think more clearly and effectively as a team," noting that "by bringing together the many skills we all possess in this room—such as creativity, commitment, and collaboration—we can create a future with purpose."
Team-building activities to strengthen team spirit
The event featured Iceberg Consultora, represented by its founder, Maia Saps, who led a series of activities designed to foster mutual understanding among the students and strengthen the foundations of collaborative work.
Maia Saps, a renowned specialist in team development and organizational culture, shared her expertise in team-building methodologies, creating a space for exchange that fostered essential skills such as effective communication, creativity, and cooperation.

Among the activities offered, the LEGO® Serious Play® workshop stood out—an innovative methodology in which participants built models and scenarios using LEGO® bricks, employing stories and metaphors to spark deep and meaningful conversations.
Students' Voices: Experiences and Motivations
The event also provided an opportunity to hear from students who are already pursuing graduate studies. Carolina Dovat, an architect and student in the Specialization Diploma in Creativity and Innovation, shared her personal experience:
I needed to see a change in the mindset of my entire team.
"I began to question my own skills and what I needed to move forward. That's when I decided to pursue that ORT graduate program, to see if I could improve through methodologies and understand innovation as a process."

A growing academic community
The School of Graduate and Continuing Education in Communication and Design continues to establish itself as a leader in training professionals in high-demand fields, with a commitment to growth, innovation, and building a community rooted in dedication, collaboration, and a shared purpose.
