“The idea behind the Jam is to promote video game development by creating experiences where enthusiasts, beginners, the curious, and experts come together to spend a weekend working and creating.”
"Given that the call for entries for the National Video Game Competition will open soon, we suggest you take advantage of this initial push to start working on the projects you plan to submit," says Rodrigo Alem Fernández, one of the organizers, according to a report on the Ingenio website.
In its first edition, in July of last year, about fifty people participated in eight teams.
This time, groups that participated in the January Global Game Jam can continue working on their projects, or they can start with the prompt that will be provided at the beginning of the event.
Admission is free, butspace is limited. The event will take place on Saturday, August 6, and Sunday, August 7, at the Los Naranjos building at LATU.
