Dr. Dr. Josenia Hervás y Heras, Architect will give a lecture focusing on the role of women within the Bauhaus, based on the research conducted for her doctoral thesis and later published in the book The Women of the Bauhaus: From the Two-Dimensional to Total Space (2015).
The discussion will explore the career paths, contributions, and challenges faced by the students, designers, and architects who were part of the school, offering a critical reinterpretation of modern historiography from a gender perspective.
We will also reflect on how these figures actively contributed to the construction of architectural modernity, moving beyond the traditional narratives that have historically rendered their work invisible.
