On Monday, November 17, Merco released the results of the Merco Companies and Leaders Uruguay 2025 ranking, which identifies the companies and leaders with the best reputation in the country.
This is the world's first audited corporate reputation survey, conducted annually in Uruguay since 2019.
Enrique Topolansky emphasized that their inclusion in the ranking is a collective achievement, the result of the work of the entrepreneurs who are part of the CIE.
In the 2025 edition of Merco Líderes, the director of the CIE ranked 27th among the country's 100 most reputable leaders.
This recognition highlights his work as head of the CIE, driving innovation, strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem, and fostering opportunities for new projects to become impactful initiatives.
The study is based on surveys and the evaluation of various objective indicators, ranging from economic and financial performance to factors related to talent, innovation, and leadership capabilities.
Also featured in the ranking was the dean of the School of Engineering at Universidad ORT Uruguay, Eduardo Mangarelli, who ranked among the top 10 leaders with the best reputation in Uruguay.
Mangarelli ranked 7th, sharing the honor with figures of great national influence.
This recognition of both leaders reinforces the role of the CIE and the School of Engineering in training, supporting, and promoting initiatives that aim to turn ideas into sustainable projects, thereby strengthening the development of the country’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
