Students visited the company Controles S.A.

On May 27, a group of 12 upper-level students majoring in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Telecommunications Engineering visited the company Controles S.A.

He was accompanied by Dr. André Fonseca, academic coordinator of the programs, and Mariana Derderian, M.A., assistant academic coordinator.

The event was designed to give students a firsthand look at the professional world and the process of developing technological products at a company with extensive experience in the industry.

During the visit, participants learned about the entire product design cycle, from identifying a need and seeking out customers to analyzing requirements, assessing feasibility, and moving into mass production.

Company representatives shared their experiences regarding the challenges involved in turning an idea into a tangible, manufacturable, and marketable product.

In addition, the students toured the assembly plant and testing laboratories at Controles S.A., where they were able to observe firsthand the various stages of the electronic product development and validation process.

The program provided an opportunity to supplement academic training with practical experience in an industrial setting, giving students a closer look at professional work in the fields of electronics, energy, automation, and telecommunications.

This initiative is part of the activities carried out by the coordination office to bridge the gap between academic education and the business sector.
