Eduardo Hipogrosso

Vice President for Administration and Institutional Development

As Vice President for Institutional Management and Development, he oversees the departments of academic administration, strategic planning, IT services, educational technology, corporate relations, and institutional communications.

In 1992, he was appointed dean of the School of Advanced Studies in Communication, and two years later, he led the effort to establish the School of Communication and Design.

Previously, he served as academic secretary of the School of Technology within the College of Engineering.

He has been instrumental in launching several publications, including the academic journal *Inmediaciones de la Comunicación*, and has played a key role in developing all the degree programs offered by the School of Communication and Design until he assumed his current position; his areas of expertise include educational engineering and the management of educational and academic development processes.

Since its establishment, the School of Communication and Design has developed numerous cooperation agreements and academic partnerships at the international level.

Since 2011, he has been a member of the Honorary Committee for the annual Design Schools Conference held in Buenos Aires.

Mr. Hipogrosso holds a degree in Systems Engineering and has also completed the Program in Organizational Development and Management (PMD) offered by ESADEUniversidad ORT Uruguay.

He served as president of the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB Uruguay) and was a member of its board of directors from its inception until 2022.

He also headed the IT Audit department at Coopers & Lybrand and served as president of the Uruguayan chapter of the Information Systems and Control Association.
