Once you have been nominated, the exchange program office will send you the online registration form, which you must complete by listing your preferred destinations in order of preference.
  • Certificate of English or French proficiency
  • A letter of motivation in English or French addressed to the ORT exchange coordinator (one page maximum)
  • Copy of passport or ID card

After receiving the applications via email, we will conduct an initial screening of candidates.

Applications must be submitted by 2:00 p.m. on February 20, 2026.

Students who advance to the next phase of the process will then need to prepare their applications to their host universities and the scholarship program; they will receive support from the exchange coordinator for this.

Important

1) If a student has already submitted an application for the international semester for the August 2025 term (any destination), that application will be canceled if the student is shortlisted as an ELAP candidate by the exchange office. In that case, the student will compete on an equal footing with the other candidates, and their previously assigned exchange spot will not be reserved.

2) Pre-selection by ORT does not mean that the student has been awarded the ELAP scholarship; rather, it marks the successful completion of the first stage of a competitive selection process.
