Academic agreements and partnerships

The university is responsible for establishing, developing, and maintaining academic cooperation agreements with universities and centers of excellence around the world, fostering partnerships that encompass the various aspects of our international activities, including student exchanges, faculty and researcher exchanges, collaborative research, joint programs, academic networks, and more.

The institutional policy is to support the establishment of cooperation agreements when there is already a specific academic initiative in place to build upon, thereby promoting an active approach to collaboration.

In general terms:

  • For academic and scientific research agreements, the process begins with direct contact between academics and researchers.
  • For agreements regarding institutional projects and student exchange programs, please contact the Office of International Relations.

Responsibilities

The International Office at the university is a cross-disciplinary academic support unit that assists and guides administrators, students, graduates, researchers, and faculty members. 

In this way, it offers a wide range of services in key areas related to the university’s internationalization efforts.

These tasks cover the following areas:

  • Institutional Relations
  • Negotiation and drafting of academic agreements
  • Information on scholarships, calls for applications, and other opportunities
  • International Scholarship Administration
  • Administration of Student Exchange Programs and Academic Mobility
  • Guidance on Studying Abroad for Graduate Degrees and Funding Options
  • Specialized support and guidance for international students and visiting faculty
  • Identifying opportunities for international academic cooperation
  • Assistance with the development, submission, and management of international projects
  • Support for the management of international cooperation
