21st edition of the Young Ibero-American Leaders Program

The 21st edition of the Young Ibero-American Leaders program is an initiative of the Carolina Foundation and Banco Santander. The program aims to foster leadership and entrepreneurship among recent graduates from the Ibero-American community, promoting sustainable development and strengthening ties with Spain and the European Union.

General information

  • Program dates: June 14–27, 2026.
  • Locations: Madrid (Spain), Brussels (Belgium), and Cádiz (Spain).
  • Format: In-person, full-time (mornings and afternoons).
  • Availability: 25 scholarships available.

Application Requirements

  • Nationality: Be a national of a Latin American country (including Spain and Portugal) that is a member of the Ibero-American Community.
  • Age and education: Applicants must be 27 years of age or younger and must have earned a higher education degree (bachelor’s degree, engineering degree, etc.) after October 1, 2023.
  • Profile: Have an outstanding academic record and demonstrate leadership skills and a commitment to social causes.

Benefits of the Scholarship

  • Transportation: Covers travel to Madrid from the capital of the country of origin (or city of residence in Spain).
  • Stay: Includes housing in a university residence hall, meals, and local transportation during the program.

Registration Process

You must register on two platforms before the deadlines; otherwise, your application will not be processed:

Carolina Foundation: Complete the online applicationby April 22, 2026.

Santander Open Academy: Registration is open until April 22, 2026.

Required documents (scanned copies): Certified copy of bachelor’s degree, certified academic transcript showing the GPA, and a letter of recommendation from the university.
