Call for Applications for Graduate Programmes at Peking University

The Uruguayan Agency for International Cooperation (AUCI) is accepting applications for graduate programs at Peking University (China), aimed at professionals from developing countries.

Available Programs

Doctorate in National Development Studies: 3-year program.
Master’s in Public Administration (National Development): 1-year program.
Master’s in Public Policy: 1-year program.

Scholarship Benefits

Scholarships from the Chinese government cover:

  • Waiver of tuition and course materials.
  • Free on-campus housing.
  • Monthly stipend: 36,000 RMB (Chinese currency) per year for master’s students and 42,000 RMB per year for doctoral students.
  • Health insurance and international airline tickets.
  • One-time installation subsidy of 3,000 RMB.

General requirements

  • Be a citizen of a developing country (not China).
  • Hold a bachelor's degree (for master's programs) or a master's degree (for doctoral programs).
  • Work experience: At least 3 years for a master’s degree and 5 years for a doctorate, preferably in the public or academic sector.
  • Advanced level of English (IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 80 if English is not your native language).
  • Maximum age: 45.
  • Hold a valid ordinary passport (not a diplomatic passport).

Deadline: May 12, 2026, by 4:00 p.m.

AUCI Documents: Scholarship application form, letter of endorsement from the sponsoring institution, signed Decree 234/86, and a photocopy of your ID card.
