After graduating from high school, he moved to Montevideo to continue his studies. "It was hard for me to choose between Electronics and Systems. As a kid, I loved everything related to computers, which has always been my passion because I’m constantly finding new challenges in it."
In 2000, he began studying engineering at the University of the Republic. In 2003, he decided to transfer to another university, had some courses transferred, and continued his studies at Universidad ORT Uruguay.
"I had a couple of interviews at different schools and decided on ORT because I was inspired by the way they presented the program to me."
Pablo noted that he had a very good relationship with the faculty members. "There's always someone there to motivate you or guide you to keep moving forward. It’s hard to stay motivated on your own, and at ORT you get that personal attention; the professors know what you’re doing and encourage you to keep going."
"I also thought the infrastructure was excellent, because whenever I needed a computer, there was always one available."
He has been working at Ikatu since 2000; the company provides consulting services on new technologies, sells high-fidelity audio equipment, and undertakes integration projects. "I started out doing personal computer maintenance and then moved on to system administration and software development."
Pablo teaches at the School of Engineering to stay connected to the university. He teaches the course Principles of Network Design in the Electronics Engineering and Telecommunications Engineering programs. "I believe that Universidad ORT Uruguay a lot of potential for growth."
