"Avant-Garde Lighting" Exhibition at the School of Architecture

June 30, 2007
From June 5 to 15, the Faculty of Architecture hosted the exhibition "Avant-Garde Lighting," organized by students in the Art and Aesthetics course of the Interior Design program. The faculty members in charge were architects Raquel Peres and Roberto Langwagen.

The exhibition featured full-scale prototypes of lighting fixtures, each based on an appropriate idea or concept from one of the artistic avant-garde movements of the period (Futurism, Constructivism, Neoplasticism, and Cubism), with an emphasis on the visual outcome of the process and the interplay of color, form, texture, and materiality.
