The course aimed to introduce the concepts of websites and web applications; specify quality requirements for the web; explore the theory of metrics and indicators based on an ontological framework; understand a measurement and evaluation framework based on requirements, metrics, and indicators; and delve into quantitative strategies and methodologies for evaluating websites and web applications. This framework, strategies, and methods will be developed taking into account principles of Software Engineering and Web Engineering.
Dr. Olsina holds a Master’s degree in Software Engineering and a Ph.D. in Science from the Faculty of Exact Sciences at the National University of La Plata. He leads projects in the areas of Web Engineering and Software Engineering (metrics, quantitative evaluation, process modeling, Web-centric architectures, Semantic Web). He has published more than sixty scientific articles in national and international conferences and journals. He has participated in international R&D projects. He is Director of the Department of Computer Science and a faculty member on the Board of Directors of the Faculty of Engineering at UNLPam. He serves on the Program Committee for national and international conferences (WWW, ICWE, ICEIS, JAIIO, among others). He is a reviewer for journals such as IEEE Multimedia, Journal of Web Engineering, and The New Review of Hypermedia and Multimedia.
